The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) inspires students to achieve higher scholastic achievement and enhance leadership skills and also recognizes innovation that enables students succeed in today’s competitive workforce. NTHS serves over 80,000 student members annually and honors the achievements of top Career and Technical Education (CTE) students by providing scholarships that allow students to further their education. In 2015, NTHS awarded over $200,000 in scholarships to CTE students in 2015. Visit www.nths.org for additional information about NTHS.
The SCC chapter of NTHS has been chartered since 2014. Students who are enrolled career and technical programs are eligible to join and apply for the numerous scholarships. Members actively participate on campus at events such as Welcome Week, Senior Day, Earth Day and Club Days. Nicholas Lee, president of SCC’s NTHS chapter, received the NTHS leadership award for the 2015-2016 year.
