Program Description

Individuals who complete the Associate of Applied Science diploma program will learn about air conditioning, furnaces, heat pumps, as well as an introduction to tools and instruments that students will encounter and utilize in their field. Diploma graduates will be able to assist in the startup, preventative maintenances, service, repair and/or installation of residential and commercial light systems.Additionally, the diploma program covers residential building codes, residential system sizing and advanced comfort systems. A.A.S. degree graduates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of of system selection, balance systems and advanced systems.

Certificate Program

Students completing the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology certificate program will receive comprehensive training necessary to work with residential and light commercial systems. Topics include mechanical refrigeration, heating and cooling theory, electricity, controls and safety.
