The Jonathan O’Neill Cribb Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of the son of Larry and Patricia Cribb. Jonathan was a graduate of Whiteville High School and a freshman at Southeastern Community College, majoring in Communication and Journalism. His character was admired by all who knew him. In his memory, this scholarship is awarded annually to aspiring high school seniors pursuing higher education at SCC. The Cribb family selects the recipient, with the average annual award being $1,000.
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship aid to Southeastern Community College students from high schools in the surrounding area. The Jones Store Fund was established with gifts from Jones Stores. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled full time in a degree or diploma program.
