SCC is excited to partner with Columbus County Schools and Whiteville City Schools to bring you an unforgettable lineup of Summer Camps. These camps are an opportunity you won’t want to miss! Earn high school AND college credit for FREE! 

These camps are for students in the class of 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028. The best part is, they’re completely FREE! You’ll also get free transportation and meals. Additional requirements may be needed for the classes of 2027 and 2028. Please speak with your high school counselor or CCP Advisor to learn more.

Discover the Wonders of Agriculture! 

This camp is great for students interested in nature, animals, and sustainable practices. You’ll learn through doing, with lots of hands-on experiences in farming, animals, and taking care of the environment. It’s perfect if you’re considering a career in agriculture, veterinary science, or environmental studies. 

Students who complete this camp will receive the following industry-recognized credential:

  • BASF Plant Science Certification (iCEV)

Qualifications: Students must be in the class of 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028. Additional requirements may be needed for the classes of 2027 and 2028. Please speak with your high school counselor or CCP Advisor to learn more.

Put your Summer in High Gear! 

This camp is perfect for students who love cars and want to learn about how they work. You’ll explore the basics of taking care of cars and fixing them, so you can keep vehicles running smoothly. It’s a great opportunity for students who are interested in becoming car technicians or engineers. 

Students who complete this camp will receive the following industry-recognized credential:

  • Ford ACE Engine Performance Certification

Qualifications: Students must be in the class of 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028. Additional requirements may be needed for the classes of 2027 and 2028. Please speak with your high school counselor or CCP Advisor to learn more. 

Build Your Summer! 

This camp is all about hands-on learning for students who love to build and create. You will learn important skills for construction and facility maintenance, like carpentry and electrical work. It’s a great opportunity for students who want to become carpenters, electricians, or construction managers. 

Students who complete this camp will receive the following industry-recognized credentials:

  • OSHA 10 General Industry
  • Snap-On DMM

Qualifications: Students must be in the class of 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028. Additional requirements may be needed for the classes of 2027 and 2028. Please speak with your high school counselor or CCP Advisor to learn more. 

Explore Engineering! 

Unlock the world of innovation and problem-solving through hands-on engineering challenges. Participants will delve into topics like operation and design of a fluid power system, electrical wiring techniques and tools, and troubleshooting. Ideal for students aspiring to become technical service providers, engineering technicians, or industrial managers. 

Students who complete this camp will receive the following industry-recognized credential:

  • OSHA 10 General Industry

Unlock the World of Healthcare! 

Step into the fascinating realm of healthcare with our Healthcare Exploration Summer Camp! Embark on exciting field trips and engaging hands-on activities as you explore various healthcare fields. From medical laboratory technology to phlebotomy and nursing, this camp offers a firsthand look at diverse career paths in healthcare. Discover your passion and uncover the perfect career for your future!

Make a Spark this Summer! 

Discover the art and science of welding through practical, hands-on instruction. Participants will learn welding techniques, safety procedures, and fabrication skills, preparing them for careers in manufacturing, construction, or metalworking. 

Students who complete this camp will receive the following industry-recognized credential:

  • OSHA 10 Construction

Frequently Asked Questions

Summer camps are free for all campers. All you have to do is register online!

Yes, but you must register separately for each camp.

Drop-off and pick-up will be in front of A-Building. Campers can be dropped off starting at 8:45am and must be picked up by 12:15pm.

Please have your child wear comfortable clothing. We do ask that campers wear closed-toe shoes or sneakers. 

Lunch will not be provided. However, campers will receive a light snack each day.
