Passport Services

Southeastern Community College Passport Services is officially designated as a passport acceptance facility by the U.S. Department of State. SCC students, faculty, staff and members of the community can apply for a U.S. passport directly through our office.

Appointments are required for PASSPORTS.

Passport Processing Times

Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday from 9:00am to 12noon
  • Monday – Thursday from 2:00pm – 4:00pm
  • Friday from 9:00am to 12noon
  • 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00am – 12noon (by appointment only)
  • Wednesdays – Walk-ins are welcome

As a Passport Acceptance Facility, we will accept your completed DS-11 application for a new passport and forward it to the Passport Services section of the U.S. Department of State for an issuance determination.

At least one check or money order is required (see fees below).

Requirements

All applicants submitting passport application Form DS 11 must:

  • Applicants must appear in person;
  • Submit proof of U.S. citizenship (birth certificate, expired passport, naturalization certificate);
  • Submit proof of identity (NC driver’s license, military ID, other government issued ID);
  • Provide a recent 2″x2″ high-quality photograph. A passport photo can be taken on site for a $15 fee. Please contact our office for more information.
  • Please contact our office for additional requirements of applicants under the age of 18

Fees

Two separate payments are required:

  • The application fee is payable to the U.S. Department of State ONLY by personal check, money order, or cashier’s check. (No cash, credit or debit cards).
  • The passport book fee is $130 for adults and $100 for minors. The passport card fee is $30 for adults and $15 for minors. For a complete list of fees go to the Passport Services website.

The acceptance fee ($35) is payable to SCC Foundation by personal check, credit or debit cards, money order, cashier’s check, or cash
