Southeastern Community College Passport Services is officially designated as a passport acceptance facility by the U.S. Department of State. SCC students, faculty, staff and members of the community can apply for a U.S. passport directly through our office.
Appointments are required for Passports.

Operating Hours
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 2:00–4:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
2nd Saturday of the month: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (by appointment only)
Wednesday: Walk-ins are welcome
As a Passport Acceptance Facility, we will accept your completed DS-11 application for a new passport and forward it to the Passport Services section of the U.S. Department of State for an issuance determination.
At least one check or money order is required (see fees below).
Requirements
All applicants submitting passport application Form DS 11 must:
- Appear in person
- Submit proof of U.S. citizenship (birth certificate, expired passport, naturalization certificate)
- Submit proof of identity (NC driver’s license, military ID, other government issued ID)
- Provide a recent 2″x2″ high-quality photograph. Passport photos are available at SCC for $15 and can be taken at the time of your appointment.
- Please contact our office for additional requirements of applicants under the age of 18
Fees
Two separate payments are required:
Application Fee
Payable to: U.S. Department of State
Amount: Passport Book – $130 (adults), $100 (minors); Passport Card – $30 (adults), $15 (minors)
Accepted payment methods: Personal check, money order, or cashier’s check only. Cash, credit, and debit cards are not accepted.
Acceptance Fee
Payable to: SCC Foundation
Amount: $35
Accepted payment methods: Personal check, money order, cashier’s check, credit/debit card, or cash
