BoardVitals

This tool provides the best questions provided by medical publishers, research institutions, and other professionals with explanations regarding the questions. Individuals have the capability to create customized practice tests. You have 24-hour access to question banks via your phone, tablet, or computer. This large database offers professionally reviewed exam questions to help nursing students/allied health individuals practice for their North Carolina Boards.

Important: You will need to use your SCC email address when setting up your account and registering. Your SCC email has to be validated and clicked on before accessing BoardVitals. You can register and access off-campus using your SCC email address.

Credo Online Reference

Credo is an easy-to-use tool for research projects and homework. Search in hundreds of encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri, quotations, and subject-specific titles, as well as 200,000+ images and audio files, and nearly 100 videos.

NC LIVE

Search NC LIVE and its wide variety of databases and recommended Websites for research, eBooks, test preparation materials, career materials, and more. Most of NC LIVE’s databases offer indexing, abstracting, and in some cases, full-text articles and other resources. If full text is not available from NC LIVE or the Williamson Library collection, library staff may obtain a copy through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

ProQuest Central

ProQuest Central provides full-text and peer-reviewed articles for researchers at all levels and covers over 160 subject areas—including health sciences, business, humanities, and general sciences– making it the “largest aggregated database of periodical content.”

ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source provides abstracting and indexing for more than 430 titles with over 390 full-text titles. This unique resource offers complete information from leading nursing and related publications, including dissertations. Designed to meet the needs of students and researchers at academic institutions, the ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source database covers a wide range of health and medical topics.
