Southeastern Community College Hosts Pinktober Celebration Day: A Day of Support, Hope, and Free Services for Breast Cancer Fighters and Survivors

Southeastern Community College (SCC) invites the community to join its Pinktober Celebration Day, an event dedicated to honoring and supporting breast cancer fighters and survivors. Hosted by SCC’s Cosmetology and Nursing Departments, the celebration will take place on October 16th from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the B-Building, Room 128, on SCC’s campus.

The event is designed to provide a day of pampering and support for those who have battled breast cancer. Attendees can enjoy a range of free services, including mini facials, shampoos, and blowouts, exclusively for breast cancer fighters and survivors. In addition to these services, the day will feature raffles, door prizes, and a creative session to design pink ribbons in collaboration with the SCC Nursing Department while learning about the importance of cancer detection.

“Supporting the fighters, admiring the survivors, and celebrating hope” is the motto for the day, and SCC encourages everyone to come together to show their support and celebrate the resilience of those affected by breast cancer.

Please note: Appointments are required for all services. To book an appointment or for more information, contact SCC at 910-642-7554.

This event promises to be a meaningful day for our community, and we encourage local media to attend and cover the inspiring stories of strength and hope. Pinktober Celebration Day is a reflection of SCC’s commitment to community support.
