SCC Foundation to welcome acclaimed guitarist Pierre Bensusan for The Infinite Guitar Tour 2026

The Southeastern Community College Foundation will welcome internationally acclaimed acoustic guitarist, vocalist and composer Pierre Bensusan to campus Tuesday, Sept. 15, for a stop on The Infinite Guitar Tour 2026. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. in the SCC Auditorium, with doors opening at 6 p.m. General admission tickets are $30. 

Known around the world for his distinctive approach to the acoustic guitar, Bensusan has built a career that spans decades and thousands of performances across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. Often called “Mister DADGAD” for his mastery of the DADGAD guitar tuning, Bensusan blends influences from traditional, contemporary, jazz, classical, folk and world music to create a sound uniquely his own. 

His career has earned international recognition, including the Independent Music Award for Best Live Performance Album for his triple album Encore, the Rose d’Or at the Montreux Festival for his debut album Près de Paris, and recognition as Best World Music Guitarist in the Guitar Player Magazine readers’ choice awards. 

The SCC Foundation is excited to bring an artist of Bensusan’s international caliber to Columbus County and provide the community with an opportunity to experience his music close to home.

The performance will offer guests an intimate evening centered on Bensusan’s extraordinary guitar work, musicianship and storytelling. Whether attendees are longtime acoustic guitar fans or simply looking for a unique live music experience, the concert provides an opportunity to see an internationally recognized performer right here in Whiteville.
