Your Future is Waiting at SCC: Extended Registration Hours for Fall 2024 

Southeastern Community College (SCC) is excited to announce extended registration hours for the Fall 2024 semester. As part of our “Your Future is Waiting” campaign, SCC is dedicated to helping students of all ages take the next step towards a brighter future. 

Extended Registration Hours: 

  • August 15th: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM 
  • August 19th-21st: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM 

SCC will end summer operating hours and resume normal operating hours starting August 12th: 

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM 

Please note that the college will be closed to the public on August 14th for employee training. 

Focus on High-Demand Programs: 

This fall, SCC is offering a range of programs designed to meet the needs of our community and provide pathways to high-paying, high-demand jobs. Programs include: 

  • Trades (Automotive, Engineering, Welding, and more) 
  • Business Careers (Agribusiness Technology, Early Childhood Education, Cosmetology, and more) 
  • Healthcare (Medical Laboratory Technology, Phlebotomy, and more) 
  • College Transfer 
  • Career & College Promise (CCP) for High Schoolers 

For adults looking to get to work fast, upskill, or change careers, SCC offers short-term training classes that are easy and fast to register for online.

Classes begin on August 20th, with various start dates available through December.

NextNC Scholarship: 

Students are encouraged to apply for the NextNC scholarship, which offers free tuition for those with a household income of $80,000 or less. Learn more here.
