At the July Southeastern Community College Board of Trustees Meeting, reappointed board member Joe Hooks was sworn in by Columbus County Clerk of Court Jess Hill.

Hooks is a Whiteville City Schools appointee and has served two terms on the board since 2011. His 3rd term will expire in 2023.
