Next Steps

The first time you sign in, you’ll be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) to help protect your SCC account. Once you’ve completed MFA, you can access your SCC student resources.

After you reset your password, you’ll need to verify your multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods. MFA helps protect your SCC account by requiring a second step to confirm your identity when you sign in.

Your personal email address and mobile phone number are already associated with your account. During this process, you’ll confirm that this information is correct. Microsoft will ask you to verify your MFA methods every 180 days.

Follow these steps to verify your MFA methods:

  1. Go to Microsoft Security Info and sign in using your SCC email address and password.
  2. On the More information required screen, click Next.
  3. Select Text to receive a verification code by text message. You can also choose Call if you would rather receive a phone call.
  4. Enter the verification code sent to your mobile phone.
  5. Click Verify.
  6. When you see your registered authentication methods, click Done.
  7. Review your phone number and email address. Update them if needed, then continue.
