SCC Baseball Player named All-American

Southeastern Community College baseball player, Gage Hammonds, was named as an All-American in the National Junior College Athletic Association, Division II second team. Hammonds was also named Region X Player of the Year.

Hammonds ranked 17th nationally with a batting average of .431, 18th with a slugging percentage of .762 and 19th with 122 total bases in 45 games played. Hammonds hit 11 home runs and drove in 48 runs. Only four infielders were selected to each of the first, second and third teams.

Hammonds played high school baseball at West Columbus in Cerro Gordo, NC. He will continue his baseball career at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke next season.
