Southeastern Community College recently received the Department of Labor Safety Gold Award for 2016.  The award recognizes recipients for their commitment and achievement in campus safety. To qualify for this award, an employer must have no fatalities during the calendar year at the site or location for which the award was given and have maintained an incidence rate at least fifty percent below the average for its particular industry group.
