Shape Your Future with Hands-On Learning This Summer!

The Educational Talent Search program will host three camps this summer. All camps are free to students. Enrollment is limited in all camps, so students are encouraged to enroll early. A snack and a meal card for lunch will be provided daily. Registration forms and instructions for the registration process can be found below.

12th Graders

Date: June 23, 2026

Time: 9:00AM – 2:00PM

The PACE (Providing Avenues for College Enrichment) Summer Institute will target high school seniors planning to enroll in college.  Support services will be provided to assist students with completing admission applications, financial aid applications and other requirements for post-secondary entrance. 

Campers should be dropped off and picked up from the Cartrette building at Southeastern Community College.

9th – 12th Graders

Date: July 13 – July 16, 2026

Time: 8:45AM – 4:00PM

Camp Cardiac Care is filled with hands-on learning in nursing, medical lab technology, phlebotomy, nurse aide, EMT, CPR, and first-aid training. The camp is great for students interested in exploring a career in allied health.

Campers should be dropped off and picked up from the HHS building at Southeastern Community College.

6th – 8th Graders

Date: June 30 – July 1, 2026

Time: 9:00AM – 12:00PM

Time: Tabor City School OR Waccamaw Siouan Tribal Grounds, Inc

The Financial Literacy Camp will offer hands-on activities to teach youth the concepts of saving, budgeting, and entrepreneurship. Local State Employees Credit Union staff will lead camp activities using Reality of Money, an award-winning series for middle school students.

Frequently Asked Questions

Summer camps are free for all campers. All you have to do is fill out the application and submit it to a Talent Search advisor!

Yes, but you must register separately for each camp.

For PACE Camp: Campers should be dropped off and picked up from the HHS building at Southeastern Community College.

For Financial Literacy Camp: Campers should be dropped off and picked up from Tabor City Middle School or the Waccamaw Siouan Tribal grounds.

For Camp Cardiac Care: Campers should be dropped off and picked up from the Cartrette building at Southeastern Community College.

Please have your child wear comfortable clothing. We do ask that campers wear closed-toe shoes or sneakers. 

Lunch will be provided. Campers will also receive a light snack each day.
