Start your career off right with training in the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology program, which will prepare you to work with residential and light commercial systems.
Individuals who complete the Associate of Applied Science program will learn about air conditioning, furnaces, heat pumps, as well as the tools and instruments that they will encounter and utilize in their field. Additionally, the AAS program covers residential building codes, residential system sizing, and advanced comfort systems.
Diploma graduates will be able to assist in the startup, preventative maintenance, service, repair, and/or installation of residential and commercial light systems.
Certificate Program
Students completing the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology certificate program will receive comprehensive training necessary to work with residential and light commercial systems. Topics include mechanical refrigeration, heating, and cooling theory, electricity, controls, and safety.
DEGREES / DIPLOMAS / CERTIFICATES
Due to a necessary need for personnel in the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology field, students who complete the certificate or diploma program at Southeastern should have access to ample job opportunities.
